Today’s Daily Create was a bit challenging! The task was to make a movie trailer of our fear. Since I am not very good at video editing, this made it more challenging for me. Also, who really wants to make a video about their fear?
For mine, I did the fear that someone knocks on my door late at night when I’m already upstairs with all the lights out. I left the ending suspenseful so you guys can now imagine your worst fear being on the other side of the door.
Today’s Daily Create was to create a #heelconcept picture with an everyday object. I used a cup to emulate the heel in this photo.
Today’s Daily Create was to create a DS106 spaceship. I am terrible at drawing so please disregard the poor craftmanship displayed here.
My creation is a simple drawing, but it depicts Groom, Burtis, and Bond controlling the spaceship that’s taking over UMW. Do I need to explain more than #DS106ForLife ?
This daily create was to go to the website https://archive.org/details/internetarcade and make a video of myself playing one of the games. The game I chose to play was called “Cosmos.” I had never heard of it before but just scrolled through and picked a random game. I was absolutely terrible at this game!! And I obviously do not know all the controls of my Mac because I kept switching screens on accident… oops. At least I know that I will never be good at video games. However, this was fun and reminded me of the good old days as a kid when I actually had time to play games like this.
Here’s the video:
Today’s Daily Create was to pick a superpower to have. I think if I could have any superpower, I would want to be able to talk to animals. Not only have I always wondered what my dog is thinking, but what a unique opportunity it would be. I think a lot of the world could be changed if people could really talk to animals.
Today’s Daily Create was to create a portrait of “David.” I do not know who David is, but the instructions included a picture so I got a little bit of an idea as to what he looks like. The Picasso Head I created of David is below. Want to make your own? Here’s the link for that: http://www.picassohead.com/create.html
Today’s Daily Create was to caption a picture of a little puppy. Here’s what I created:
Today’s Daily Create was to make a picture with words on it with the theme being “I’m Sorry.” This is an interesting concept and I took it as making something with a sarcastic twinge. My idea was based on the massive amount of school work I have for this week. My picture reads, “I’m sorry homework, it’s a serious Netflix kind of day.” I used clippings from a newspaper to make my daily create. I used a combination of words and letters to spell out the sentence while picking pictures that I could see going along with just taking the time for yourself and not caring about responsibilities for a second. Although I wish that this would be true for me this week, it is unfortunately not. What I would give to have an extra hour to watch some Netflix…
Today’s Daily Create was to create a picture without lifting our pencil (as explained by the title). I thought that this would be very simple, but turned out to be a little more complicated than I thought. First off, I am not very creative when it comes to these kinds of things so it was hard to even think of what to draw. I thought of one of the photos I took for my noir safari this week and just went off of that idea. I drew a very large tree that was bare of any leaves and put it in a night time setting. I was hoping that the messy stars and moon would tie into the grittiness that typically is displayed in noir photos, but who knows if I actually achieved that in any way. Although challenging, this activity was fun!
Today’s Daily Create was to make a paper sculpture. When I first saw the image that was an example on the daily create site, I thought, “there’s no way I’d be able to do this.” But I took my best shot at it and although it might be simple, I think it’s kinda cool! The video of myself making it as well as pictures of the final product are listed below:
